i am shopping around for a big area rug for my living room which has dark brown sofas with just the seat beige and dark brown funiture, i dont want just a brown and tan rug so i was wondering what other color could i add so my room wont be so brown. my curtains are brown too.
what color of area rug would look good with dark brown furniture?

We have chocolate brown furniture as well. We purchased an oriental rug that is predominantly straw colored with maroon accents. Looks very nice with the wood floor and brown furniture.
